About the Creator

Questioning the
non-rational realities of life
A mother. A doctor. A seeker.

I’m Lalao Picard, almost 65.

A mother of five, a grandmother, a medical doctor, a self-taught artist—and above all, a lifelong seeker of meaning behind life’s mysteries.

For over 40 years, I’ve been immersed in the world of medicine—witnessing the body’s extraordinary intelligence and its mysterious ability to heal. But I also encountered the limits of science when it comes to understand and address the root causes of suffering and illness.

At home, my greatest teachers were my own children—neurodivergent, brilliant, and brave. As millennials and Gen Z, their values and vision for a better world opened my eyes in ways no training ever could. Unlike the generations before them, they disregard traditional success metrics, question conventional authority, and reject hustle culture and toxic productivity. What they seek instead is emotional wellness, authentic belonging, meaningful inclusion, and a life guided by purpose. Yet at a stage of life meant for vitality and hope, many are facing unprecedented levels of anxiety, disconnection, and emotional distress. It made me realise that what we need now isn’t more resources—but a more relatable and authentic way to share the timeless truths of life. To navigate my life's ups and downs, I have explored the most profound truths about existence. Yet, I struggled to apply them in the moments I needed it most- let alone share it with those I love. When I tried, it often came across as inauthentic. It took me a decade of unlearning and refining to begin embodying it. The purpose of Morning Whispers is: To offer timeless insights in a form that’s grounded, meaningful, and accessible. A frame that makes sense to the mind, a language that speaks to the heart, and a truth that resonates with the soul. Morning Whispers is my soul legacy: For my descendants, my ancestors, and anyone who feels called to this offering.

Backstory

Morning Whispers was never meant to become a product. It began with neurographic art—a spontaneous, intuitive drawing practice I was curious to try. What started as basic lines and dots slowly evolved into paintings, insight, and healing. My most creative moments came early in the morning, when the mind is still soft and fertile—pregnant with impressions from dreams. This project didn’t begin with a plan. It grew from the mess—by sitting with questions, drawing through uncertainty, discomfort and listening. Eventually, the dots connected. Morning Whispers revealed itself—over a year of frantic sketching, writing, editing, and inner transformation. It unfolded—one question, one whisper, one image, one message at a time. And now, it’s ready to be shared.
